A rough-and-ready port and fishing town 30km east of Victorias and 50km north of San Carlos, CADIZ is where much of Negros's sugar is stacked on cargo boats for shipment to Manila and beyond. For tourists it's little more than a possible exit point for Roxas on Panay and for Bantayan. Cadiz's uninspiring hotel options include the Cadiz Hotel (P700-1000) on the city plaza, with air-conditioned rooms and a tennis court; RL Apartelle (Under P500) near the Ceres bus depot on the main road; and – opposite – the EC Pension Plaza (Under P500).
