The emphasis at this fairly new restaurant is on fresh food that tantalises the taste buds. The main trend is for English dishes: a typical meal could be pan fried mackerel fillet on minted blinis at £5.25, open lasagne of wild mushrooms with asparagus £9.95 followed by rhubarb and custard for dessert. You will find a good choice of wines selected from almost every wine producing country. The dining room is classy but relaxed and is said to be lively in the evenings.
