This Gasthaus is a neighbour to the Nikolaikirche which has been standing for over 800 years, although it is not quite as old. Speciality dishes prepared in part using meat from their in-house butcher have been served in the very conservatively decorated guesthouse for over 125 years. These time-honoured creations stand on the menu next to examples of more recent German cuisine which are equally as enticing. A very highly recommended range of dishes made with chanterelle mushrooms is served here seasonally, between the months of August and October. The prices range from EUR 6.50 for chanterelle and noodles to EUR 9 for schnitzel served with chanterelle. There is also a wide choice of dishes typical to the city of Hanover. Starters of baguette and cottage cheese are served with every main meal.
