McNabs Island is paradise for the nature lover. Located at the mouth of Halifax Harbor, it can be accessed by boat through McNabs Island Ferry in Eastern Passage or Murphy's on the Water in Halifax. Here is 400 hectares (988.4 acres) of wilderness, wildlife, trails and beach, all under the care of its very own society: The Friends of McNabs Island. Check out their web page for the fascinating history of the island as well as information on how to get there.
