The reason this is called the 'Sea Mosque' is abundantly obvious. Any closer to the Mediterranean and it would be in the water. With its minaret, green wooden doors and shutters, and arched windows, it is a picturesque addition to the Jaffa panorama. Just don't stroll into the mosque and snap some pictures of the fine view; this is a functioning mosque, where usually there are people praying. In contrast to other mosques, however, the doors are open here. If you enter be sure to remove your shoes.
