While walking down Ulica Jagiellonska, take the time to visit the 15th century Collegium Maius, now converted into Jagiellonian University Museum. This charming street links two of the Kraków's most renowned institutions - the university and the Stary Teatr (Old Theater). Stop for a moment at the point where Ulica Jagiellonska meets the Planty gardens to admire the statue of a 16th century Virgin Mary the Merciful, who can be seen to be holding the flaming arrows of God's vengeance in her hand.
