Elegance and inspired classicism are the trademarks of this designer who, after he worked at Dior, founded his own couture house in 1961. In 1966, he dressed the actress Catherine Deneuve for the film, Belle de jour. She repaid him well by wearing her favorite designer's creations off camera. The same year, Yves Saint-Laurent made black tie suits for women, which became the ultimate symbol of his creations. Yves Saint-Laurent likes to provoke: he posed nude in 1971 for a publicity campaign launching his first scent for men "Pour Hommes." He then went on to release a controversial perfume, "Opium" in 1977, embodied today by the voluptuous actress Sophie Dahl. Situated on the Champs Elysees of Cannes, this shop is not to be missed.
