Located in a beautiful valley in Connemara and surrounded by dramatic mountains, this bed and breakfast is just north of Leenane on the Louisburgh road. Delphi Lodge was built in the early 19th century by the Marquis of Sligo. The owners have restored the premises to its former glory, and it remains impressive but informal. The accommodation consists of 12 rooms, all very well appointed. Most rooms include lake and mountain views. Dinner is served on a long oak table in a friendly atmosphere. A vast array of dishes are on offer to suit all tastes. Delphi Lodge is a great haunt for fishing enthusiasts, although many guests simply come for the tangible peace and quiet of Leenane valley.
