This art deco and art nouveau-inspired building is undoubtedly the most majestic hotel on the Left Bank. When it was built in 1910 it attracted provincials coming to Paris to do their shopping at the nearby Bon Marche department store that concentrated on selling quintessential Parisian elegance. Since then, many famous faces like actress Catherine Deneuve and the renowned artist Arman have stayed here. There is even a suite named after the latter- the suite Arman, the most luxurious suite in the hotel decorated by the famous designer Sonia Rykiel (who is also a regular visitor).
