Manor Guest House, the true Edwardian heritage house, was built in 1902. It has nine bedrooms; five with private baths and four with shared bath. Its West Side location is close to Downtown, bus routes, shops and some of Vancouver's best restaurants. The house has retained all of its old-world details, like 10-foot (3-meter) ceilings, spacious rooms and hallways, wainscoting, hardwood floors and carved banisters; but it also provides modern conveniences. Upon arrival, guests are given an orientation to the city, including maps, tourist details and recommendations, and reservations for tours and restaurants. Hosts speak English, German, French and Hebrew. Check website to know more.
