Built in 1915, this hotel was renovated following the devastating New Year's flood in 1997 that wiped out several cabins and motel units. The glass and wood structure blends nicely with the surrounding scenery, and it sits in a pretty setting close to the most popular spots in the park. Eat at the upscale restaurant at the Lodge, the Mountain Room. It offers several choices for casual dining. A great place for families, each member can all go down to the pool for a swim, rent bikes to tour the park, see evening programs in the amphitheater or take a shuttle tour of the valley floor loop. Unfortunately, there is no disabled access to the second floor.
