Winter Vacations

All spring breaks have their catastrophic stories. Mine was no exception. A combination of a 32-foot RV, 13 inches of snow and trying something I’ve never done created an experience worthy of sharing with an audience that may try it once themselves. The plan was simple: a spring break trip to Winter Park, Colo., three days on the slopes and a great time. You know I didn't even get a chance to explain in human terms how our Winter vacation was. My bad...just shpws how busy we are as a family. Well let me think back.......We arrived a the motel Fairfield Inn (Marriott) in Arlington, TX. And we could really hear the people from Six Flaggs on the rides. It was a really good feeling. Second visit to Alaska… I was curious to know Alaska was like in the winter, I wondered what the ‘darkness’ was like and how cold it got. So I made plans to head back during the winter of ’08. I stayed with my co-worker in Anchorage. We attended the ceremonial start of the Iditarod race, which the Alaskans call their Super Bowl and I went snowboarding on Alyeska MT in Girdwood.
