You missed a lot of fun by not going up the EIFFEL TOWER. Americans can^t be bothered by standing in lines, but you really screwed up by not seeing Paris from the top of the Eiffel. Also, you can bargan with the Gondalers in Venice. The gondola ride is priceless. How many times do you get to Venice? Go for it next time. I have taken groups to Europe for 26 years and I still enjoy these sites.
i have never been to the other places in the world, I spent my live in Tbilisi... and I am dreaming and I hope to go for one of this trip in the future:)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) it's great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)
i really would love to see some of these places but i really was no impressed with them after your comments. i am going to canada and alaska this summer, hope it will be better
Interesting and cleverly written. I have been to these places several times, and many many more. I'm sorry for people who don't have the opportunity or interest to travel and see the world. So many beautiful interesting special places out there.
It was a bit of walking, but the price more than made it worth it. Getting around and to the attractions was very easy.
The regular bus station was about 2 blocks away and the tube maybe 3 or 4 blocks away. But the area you walk through felt very safe, even late at night.
I would recommend the hop on/off bus ticket to see the attractions around London. With tube tickets being 4 pounds each, the tourist bus was cheaper and much more convenient. And there is a pick up drop off site about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. I booked the bus through Expedia, I can let you know the company if you are interested.
The Caring Hotel was very nice. We had a room with a shared bathroom and had no problems at all. Everything was very clean and the hotel staff were very nice. The stairs are a bit steep though if you are on one of the upper floors. And the breakfast that is included is very good (mmmmm...bacon). If I ever go back to London, I would stay there again.
Were you happy with the distance between your hotel and stuff to do in London? We are going in August and your journal has been very helpful. We are thinking about staying at the Caring Hotel. Let me know. Thanks
