Very helpful! We have been to Kauai many times, but found your comments and photos most informative and helpful to send on to our daughter and her family. They will be following in your footsteps somewhat this summer! Hope they will add some time in Hanalei Bay, a favorite spot of ours...especially on weekends with many local families and activties. Thanks!
depends on where you live, what you eat, other than the hotel and airfare (price which depends on which season you go), a simple life down there can be spending a little as a few dollars for meals at McDonalds (or L&L), no fee for beaches and hiking, snorkeling for as little as 2 dollars a set rental for a day. Really depends on what you want to do and there are alot of free sightseeing you can do. btw, car rental is a must in Kauai and the price again depends on how you book it. Everything is close so gas spending is minimal.(30 min-1 hour drive most places)
you think that 10 grand is enough for two weeks? i really want to know. i mess a little bit with a girl and i want to compensating. i'm planning traveling the last week of april of next year and stay till the first week of may
ROTTEN APPLE, I think you can do well within 10 grand and could probably go a bit luxurious with the trip with that budget. 3 stars hotels on hotwire is probably no problem in April/May, book early though. Hopefully the airline tickets will not be too ridiculously priced next year. Have fun planning :)
You went to Waikiki beach to 'collect some sand'. Please tell me you actually didnt take sand from the beach?!! Thousands of people go to hawaii each year. If they all took a piece of the beach there wouldn't be one.
You guys don't seem as if this was your first trip.. I am reading through your trip and it's making me even more excited. My family and I will be going to Honolulu, Hawaii Aug 18-25.. I don't remember if you guys said you rented a car? And did you see many ppl using public transport to get around would you consider that to be much easier?
