Am planning a trip to Savannah in June of 2007. Where did you stay? I'm thinking about either the Hampton Inn in the Historic District or the Doubletree. I don't need lots of amenities, just want a clean place to rest my weary bones at the end of the day. I want someplace close to the action, as I'm not renting a car. Can you suggest some good places to eat? I know I'll be going on a ghost tour......you have any suggestions? I'm a walker so not afraid of too much distance, but spare my dogs. Any advice you can offer is welcome.
