SF, Short South

I'm thinking we drive to Santa Cruz on Route 1, then head inland and take 183 to 101 at salinas on the way to San Luis Obispo. that way we'll get to see coastal san mateo during daylight hours and then save some time taking the inland route down south. (i think we'll shave about ~3 hours off our driving time that way.) we'll have out in san luis obispo for a night and the next morning, and then we'll work our way up, hitting Santa Cruz and all the other pretty places. And before leaving santa cruz, we'll round out our trip with a visit to see good buddy Amber Monday evening when she gets off work. Then back to SF up 17 and 280.
