My big West Coast adventure

Am looking for advice for things to see and do in San Francisco and along the Pacific Coast Highway in northern California and the west coast of Oregon, and also the Portland, Oregon metro area. I've already planned on the Golden Gate Bridge, the Marina District and possibly Fisherman's Wharf. When I get to the Portland area, I plan on seeing Roloff Farms (featured on "Little People, Big World") but am interested in getting some recommendations for places to stay and a few good local restaraunts in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area. I'm always in the mood for a place with a good burger or pizza.
