2006 Xmas South Island Road Trip

A trip from December 22, 2006 to January 02, 2007, travelling to Auckland, Wellington, Picton, Nelson …
Been in New Zealand for 6 year, but never been to the South … More  
Been in New Zealand for 6 year, but never been to the South Island. That is because I could not afford either the money or the time:(
Ken and I finally decided to spend all the money in our account to visit the South Island during the Xmas break this year. We want to celebrate our engagement and his graduation and the beginning of the career.

Notes
Before departing from Auckland City on Friday night after work, we will shop for some food and drinks. I will bring the rice cooker and chilli bin. All the shops will be closed on the Xmas eve. We don't want to starve ourself:p
Take a drive along the No.1 motorway, from Auckland to Wellington via Hamilton, Taupo, PN, Wanganui. It takes probably 10 hour. We will arrive in the early morning next day.

Notes
The Wellington inner city tour starts after our breakfast. I would like to have some coffe after the long time driving. Take a walk from Harbour to Mt Victoria, catch the cable car to the observation centre. At night we will stay at Just Hotel which is located at Willis st. The next day morning, we will take ferry to Picton, South Island.
