Thanks for sharing your wonderful trip, w/a clear photo for our imagination. any idea of how much it all cost you.My spouse and her brother and his wife.Planned to travel this Mar. 16-26,2009. We were thinking of staying in Hostels (we're a tight budget)or hotel.then, ride trains to the different parts of Itoaly just like you did.Let me know.if have any idea.thanks. ; D

Pretty tough trip for 56 year olds. Our trip (I'm 74) was a little easier. Only backpacks and only public transportation. Florence, Rome, Orvieto, Assisi, Venice, Pisa, Cinque Terre, Milan. also excellent weather. People and country are great.
