This is one of my favourite buildings - amazingly detailed architecture. Unless you're really interested in politics I wouldn't bother going in though.
Set on the ground floor of the exclusive St Martin's Lane Hotel , the Light Bar is an oasis of opulence. The hotel i …

Stroll out of the Royal Opera House across the street to the Light Bar in St Martin's Lane Hotel, an Ian Schrager creation, just to prove that it's not only Anouska Hempel who floats my boat. This is one of the funkiest bars in Londona and a great way to end the London leg of your trip!

If you can't get a table at the Ivy, J Sheekey is a good bet for some quality British cuisine (no that's not an oxymoron!) in the Covent Garden area. It's known for seafood and I would still book in advance.
The Ivy is certainly a contender for London's premier restaurant title. The oak-panelled, v-shaped room has stained-glass …

This is the one of the most famous restaurants in London apart from Gordon Ramsey perhaps. The food is supposed to be good, but not outstanding and the prices are quite respectable. I think most people like it though, because of the amazing opportunities for star spotting. You are likely to see several celebs an evening dining here. Hence, reservations are tough and I would try booking now!

Make the short walk over to Blakes hotel for dinner after you're all museumed out. This ia another Anouska Hempel creation, and no, she's not paying me for this! This is one of the most romantic/glamourous restaurants in London and the food is excellent. Make sure you book in advance!
Legend has it that you can buy anything you want at Harrods. Surely not great travel deals though right? It's a really fun place and you can easily spend hours there.
You could also have your lunch near in the numerous eateries.
Mandarin Kitchen is conveniently located in the Bayswater area and is reknowned for its Lobster noodle dish amongst my Chinese friends. A possible lunch option if you don't feel like Khan's.
Get back on the DLR at Limehouse towards Lewisham. You'll then go on this toy train through the impressive new financial district of London. You can get off and take pics if you like or just admire the view from the large windows on the driverless DLR train.
Get off at Island Gardens and walk under the thames in the foot tunnel to the Cutty Sark!
I think the final day could begin with a refreshing jaunt to the outskirts of London. You can take a ferry from Westminster to either Kew or Richmond, depending on what you want to do first.
I love Richmond. It's a quintessential posh English town. It's just really pleasant to walk along the high street, checking out the posh shops and bored rich housewives. The park is also very nice.
