i visited lucerne back in the early 1980's but it's charm and history can be found in it's buildings, bridges, monuments, and landscapes.. make one day for just strolling through the quaint city.,cross the covered bridge, and visit the monument made in memory of the fallen soldiers. and you can't miss the train that runs through the mountain while over looking the beautiful lake. Just a short drive away are the beautiful swiss alps...awesome for skiing or if just viewing..it is awesome. Enjoy your trip..and may yours be as memorable as mine...oh and don't forget the cathedral...while inside don't forget to look up...enjoy
