Went to Italy in Nov of 06. Pisa was interesting, but it's not worth a ton of time. The leaning tower is a fun attraction, especially now since you can go to the top of it again, and the rest of that "square" is cool, but outside of that not much in the city.
In Milan, do NOT miss the Duomo. Possibly the most incredible place I've seen in all of my Europe travels. Allow at least 2+ hours inside to do a quick once over....4+ hours to really look at stuff and take it all in.

I hope you have the best time of you life! infact i know you will =] i just got back from a 3 week vacation in England, Ireland, and Wales. It was the best ever!! dont forget to go on the london eye...its a beautiful scenery. Also write a journal of what you did...thats the one big mistake i did do...but i have my friends that help me remember the best time of my life! Be safe! and hey...your going to Europe!! I cant wait to go back later in life =]

Hope you have a great time. Currently spending 3 weeks in Scandinavia. It has rained most of the time, but that is througout northern Europe. Make sure you take time to wander the smaller streets of Paris, they are wonderful neighborhoods to get lost in. Be safe!
