Cabo Wabo

Definitely had fun in Cabo - shoot me an email or post here if you have any questions you think I might be able to answer...

I vacationed in January 07 at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach for one week and then the second week stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Rose. I enjoyed this trip so much, I am going back in April to stay two weeks at the Sunset Beach. I will be bring my family for then to enjoy and have as much fun as I did in January. This will certainly be an annual event to come to Cabo.....

My wife and I traveled to Cabo from 08/09/07-08/13/07. This was out first year that we decided to vacation somewhere else besides Cancun. Our stay was not as satisfying as previous years. Like any other vacationers upon arrival you want your trip from the airport to the hotel to be a quick 10-15 minute distance. This is possible if you stay in San Jose. However, if you are staying in Cabo San Lucas you can plan on riding the taxi, shuttle, or bus for 30+minutes. We stayed at the RIU, which was a beatiful hotel. However, the service and entertaintment lacked in some aspects. Its like they are saying "we know we are the better all inclusive hotel so no matter what your not going anywehre." The drinks came in abundance and the food was above average. Very limited room service but on the plus side you have a Smirnoff, Jose Cuervo, Bacardi, and Wiskey dispenser. They also claim to refil the fridge once every two days but i never ran out of bottles Corona. Even the buffet food tasted above any other buffet food we have ever tasted. Hint: find the Italian restaurant for lunch and the Japanese restaurant for dinner. The only down side is the need for reservations but you will understand why they are needed at your time of arrival. Careful with the construction side but there is 75% of getting a good pool/ocean view. The night life in Cabo is without a doubt equal if not better than Cancun. The clubs have no cover charge and they are all within walking distant of each other. We had some issues with club "The Zoo" but even then it was good. Find the Blue Jungle Bar before you enter the bigger clubs. Great service, good entertainment, and cheaper drinks. End your party nights at The Squid Row. If you like to party, dance, and drink this is your spot. We felt that Cabo Wabo was overated and our stay did not last longer than 20 minutes. Another couple said it best when they say "you gotta go just because its Cabo Wabo." Lastly, beware of the extremely cold water. You can enter the ocean but the waves will take your feet out front under you and the water is at about 65 degrees during the day. Next year we will resume our trips to Cancun.

Does anyone know the most affordable way to get arround. Specifically trying to find a bus schedule .

Was there only 486 people selling timeshares at the airport?? I counted about 750!!
I swore I would never, ever listen to another timeshare presentation again but I gave in when we were offered $200 off our rental car, two free tickets for a snorkeling trip that included all you can drink booze & snacks, and also two free brunches at the Fiesta Americana (which was about the best buffet I have ever eaten!) I would guess everything would have totaled up to close to $500.00! Not too bad of a deal and the presentation wasn't too painful! Here's my recommendations though- do not sign up for anything at the airport. You will have plenty of opportunities to speak with sales people every where you go. Bargain hard! The more you say no thanks, the more free stuff that is offered to you. We signed up for our timeshare tour at the Dollar rental car agency. My second recommendation is- do not purchase a $10,000 (or more) timeshare unit when you go to the high pressure sales presentation! I own a week that I bought off EBAY for $146.00. There are plenty more available for cheap! Lastly- say hello to Sammy for me when you are in Cabo! CHEERS

Leaving for Cabo Cinco de Mayo. Staying at Hacienda Del Mar. Planning on snorkeling, jet skiing, running, partying and a all kinds of fun stuff. Its going to be a BLAST!!!

HI All, I was curious of the hiden taxes and fees that I was told you have to pay when you check out. Tell me if that was true for you and how much and for what. Thanks

i have a timeshare at the sunset beach. the place is a five star hotel and is worthy of it. you need to rent a car to get around. its much easier. just pay the basic $10 charge for insurance the mexicans require. go to the marina district, cabo wabo cantina and medano beach bar. also you need to drive up to todo santos, a village about one hour north od cabo. its along rte.1 and the view of the pacific and thru the desert is spectaclular. stop at mile marker 69 and check out the atr stores there.

I vacationed in January 08 at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach with my girlfriend. Too much enjoy day and night at the Pueblo Bonito Rose. I enjoyed this trip so much, I am going back with new gril frind with new hole and stay two weeks at the Sunset Beach. Don't say to any one.
This will certainly be an annual event to come to Cabo.....
