Sweetpea not including the flights from Australia around $5000 Australian. We are currently in Rome and contrart to popular belief have found it incredibly cheap to live. For example last night 6 of us had dinner at a Pizza Place outside our apartment for 38EUR this included my beer, my wifes 500ml wine and soft drink for the children. As we are in the apartment we are catering breakfast ourself and have plenty of beautiful fresh fruit, cereal etc for 60 eur for the week. The children are living on the most incredible Gelati for 2eur for an ENORMOUS serve. Do yourself a favour and do it.

Thus fare we have not had to pay for entry into any tourist sites such as the coluseum, or castle St Angelo, they have certain days that are free entry.
