Trekking Thailand

Think Thailand - the fabled kingdom of Siam - then think golden temples, exotic cuisine, jungle hillsides, colorful cultures! On our journey, we will be immersed in the best of this friendly, culturally rich country. From Chiang Mai, the "Rose of the North", we head further north to hike through teak forests and to visit with the hill tribes of the Akha, Red Lahu, and Karen people. Into the infamous Golden Triangle we will enjoy colorful bazaars, night markets and the ancient, ornate architecture of the area. We will explore this northern region on foot, on bamboo rafts, in long-tail boats and riding astride elephants. And maybe, if time allows, we will travel south and snorkel in crystal clear water and kayak to isolated islands with steep cliffs, rocky overhangs and mysterious caverns.
