There are several lakes in hanoi which distinguish it from other vietnamese cities . The greatest is Ho Tay.

Hotay in summer, you can see the birds flying in the sunset on the lake and awaiting the wind which drives out the heat of summer.

But I think, the most beautiful season in Hanoi is the winter. One morning in winter, while everyone still remains in their beds, the fog covers the lake like a mysterious curtain. I'm all alone, silence's all around, I stand in front of the lake, lower the head in the shoulders and feels the cold to slip into the coat. Toc toc toc… the sound of the stick striking the edge of a boat, a fisherman and his boat tear the fog and fall in front of your eyes. All that, it's as in a tale.

i just recently booked the flight to hanoi during April mth... is only a short trip for 3D2N. i plan to go halong bay as well. your trip data do help me to plan the itinerary. cheers !
