The highlight of this trip by far was arriving at the navy pier at 1000 to catch the first taxi boat heading to Shedd Aquarium, spending all day inside in the air conditioning. As we left the aquarium around 1530 to catch our boat back to the pier, the line to get in extended past the entrance to the building and all the way down the steps. The ride back on the lake was refreshing and we then walked from the pier to Ohio St Beach and swam in the cold water and played in the sand. The rest of our trip was fun but the trip to Shedd by boat was the highlight.
