St. Lucia is for travelers seeking pleasure and enrichment through the wonder of the undiscovered, the adventure of the unfamiliar, the freshness of the unspoiled and the stimulation of the exotic.
I would absolutely recommend St. Lucia for anyone needing a vacation...esp a romantic getaway. My husband and I were married in St. Lucia in July 2004. I rarely want to return somewhere after seeing everything there is to see...but I can't wait to return to St. Lucia for some future anniversary. One thing...I would stay at either of the other two Sandals, not the Halcyon, they are MUCH nicer as I have visited all three. Maybe the Grande if you're younger and maybe the Regency Golf and Spa if you're 30+ like I am. When I return, I plan to stay at one of the resorts located at the base of the Pitons, this is what the island is known for and the location is couldn't be better. Spectacular doesn't even cover it, I have to stay there next. We did a water tour on a catamaran to see the volcano, the best (volcano smells horrible, trip there and back is great). Also did a Jeep Tour through the jungle to see the highest peek in St. Lucia with a hike to a beautiful waterfall. We ate at most of the restaurants offered in the three Sandals as you can stay at one and play at all of them. One more note...there are no fishing laws around St.Lucia so don't go there for the snorkling, very little fish to be seen when we went. Go and feel relaxed and spoiled. Feel free to email me at angiemylar@yahoo.com.
