I am heading over to Budapest, Vienna, and Venice next summer, and I'm hoping that my trip is as wonderful as yours sounds. Do you mind my asking which hostel you stayed at in Venice? Right now I'm booked for a camping ground because of a serious lack of information about hostels in Venice, but I'm still looking around. Thanks!

I never hear of anyone going to the "Hapsburg Crypts," or taking the "Third Man," tour. Both are fascinating and the cost is minimal. The Third Man tour is a walking tour that takes one to most of the scenes, hotels and the like where the movie was filmed. The tour guide gives you a running dialouge about the movie during the entire tour. They also take you into a real WWII bomb shelter where a woman plays the theme song on a zither. The crypts have the remains of Hapsburgs going back hundreds of years. Viewing the coffins alone is worth the half Euro cost. The newest one was of a Hapsburg that died in 1958. The older coffins have spiders, bats and the like in wood or metal on top.
