Mumbai and Goa

A trip from August 25, 2006 to September 09, 2006
Indias megalopolis and most beautiful beaches in 14 days … More
Indias megalopolis and most beautiful beaches in 14 days...

My intentions with this trip: to dive fully into the culture shock I expect from India by spending the first few days in Mumbai, a true megalopolis of 18 billion citizens, visiting its famous sights and experiencing the diversity of Western life combined with traditional values. Afterwards, relax on the beaches of Goa for a week - if weather permits, visit some sacred places in Northern and Southern Goa, the historical churches of Old Goa and the obligatory spice plantage, otherwise just wander around in the (hopefully) rain-safe accomodation's vincinity and admire nature's beauty after the monsoon's peak... finally, to prepare for "Western" life again, I'll go back to Mumbai and spend the last three days there (probably choosing another hotel, as reviews suggest my initial budget selection isn't really worth its price after all - but I'll decide on that later).

Note: this trip started as a private trip and is mostly intended for my own purposes, I just share it in case anybody is interested. (If I do so, please feel free to comment, give suggestions, warnings etc. - every kind of feedback is more than welcome!)
