Frommer's Review: The chef at this popular harborside restaurant has been named the best Italian chef in Nice. That this honor should go to a vegetarian restaurant was the most startling part of the news. Chef Marco, who opened his restaurant in 1997 after cooking for many years in Rome, certainly has a fine pedigree -- he's a relative of Luciano Pavarotti. He serves refined cuisine at reasonable prices, using recipes from Italy's Piedmont region and updating them with no meat or fish. The red-and-green decor (the colors of Italy) will put you in the mood for the creative cuisine. You'll have to trust Marco, though, because everyone is served the same meal. You can count on savory cuisine using lots of herbs, Italian cheeses, beans, and pasta. Lasagna is a specialty.

Talk about this trip (2)
I am seeking advice on the Monaco Grand Prix. I too will be over there while this event is going on, and I'd like to know if it is worth going. Are tickets cheap to come by? Are tickets even needed since it is open on the streets? Is the city difficult to walk around during the event? Thanks!
Apologies for the late reply. Tickets to the event are *not* cheap. We paid nearly US$800 each for our track-side Sunday tickets. The city will be crowded and walking around will be difficult; tickets are required to be remotely close to the cars. If you are interested in attending, you can attend Thursday practice or Saturday's qualifying run. Those tickets cost less. Since qualifying to be on the front row is key to winning this race, many of the drivers go all-out.
