I loved Takao-san! It was easy to get there via Keio Line. The ride up in the trolley/cable car was very cool. In the Summer there is a monkey show and beer garden to enjoy. Yakuoin Temple and the mountain is adorned with Tengu symbolism. If you love to hike and see historical sites, its a must see. The views from the mountain are spectacular, especially during the Fall colors. There are souvenir shops at the base and near the main temple.
