I live in Germany on the Dutch border, and I love the Netherlands, so this was fun to read. Lucky you...you got to see more of Amsterdam than I've been able to.

Definitely will plan a trip to the Netherlands. I love the whole concept of riding bikes as the mode of traveling! Amsterdam, here we come (not for the joints, but for the Van Gogh museum and a visit to Anne Frank's house)!

I have been traveling back and forth to Den Bosch since I met my best friend there in 1981. You have captured The Netherlands beautifully. On your next visit, I suggest seeing the beautiful old town of Heusden. Also Kinderdijk - home to many windmills. In the south, visit the 'St. Pietersberg' caves in Maastricht. There is so much to do in such a little country. I cannot wait to go back!

thanks for the great suggestion and thanks for the nice words. We plan to go back next year around the time of the North Sea Jazz Festival. It's in Rotterdam. We definitely will take some of your suggestions with us.

Wow! Such a wonderful place! I plan to visit Netherland if possible by early 2007. I have my cousin staying there but yet have any opportunity to visit them even there are always ask me to go. Hopefully i can make it this time...
