Sounds like a great anniversary! Dont forget things like a sunrise or sunset at Haleakala and the "Road to Hana". They are worth the time.

I want to have this trip so badly but can't afford it :(
Maybe some day. We've never had a real honeymoon ever and
maybe some day we can get there. It would be so awesome.
Thanks anyhow.

We have been to Maui once before, but it was 20 years ago. I would like to go back and go to Haleakala again, as the first time, it was too foggy and we couldn't really see the crater. I think Maui is probably the most beautiful of the islands.

San Diego is great, but you can't achieve the same euphoria snorkeling with Navy men as with fish on a Molekini snorkel trip! As for cost, we paid about $800 per person to have an ocean front condo (Sugar Beach condos, Lihue) including flight and car! We went on the cheap through a consolidator out of LA. Search package deals. We also sat through a 2 hour presentation for a timeshare (don't buy one, there are cheap timeshare resellers everywhere!) from a timeshare store in Lahaina. They then give you tickets for free to events. We save $200 plus on our snorkel trip that way. For wonderwhy77: Saving $100 a month is not too hard if you REALLY want a Hawaii trip. Think cutting things out; chips, movies, shoes (lol). After a year you should be well on your way.
