I drove over the christmas break from Michigan to Miami, Florida. On the way to and back I stopped at a friend's place in Charlotte, NC.

On the first day, I went to the shark valley visitor center and hiked around. I also drove half the distance to Everglades city, but decided to turn back because of bad weather.
On the second day i drove all the way to flamingo which is on the coast. Lots of nature, birds and crocodiles/gators everywhere!

Not worth the money! but it is right on duval street, so I didnt have to take my car out the entire time I was at key west.

There were no glass bottom boat tours offered. Instead they were offering a trip to a island with a great beach. I decided to skip it and head to Key west.
