Start in Atlantic City. You can fly directly there, (ACY), or if you're coming from New York, you can get to the boardwalk by bus for almost free.
Start your weekend by staying in a Resort Hotel & Casino right on the Boardwalk. Sunbathe by day, and gamble by night. There are some great restaurants in the hotel. Explore! No car needed!

Rent a car at the end of your Atlantic City run, and head north to Asbury Park. It used to be a popular resort town, now it's an up and coming resort town. Make sure you try Pete and Elda's Pizza
