very nice place

Yahoo travel says there is no railroad, not even Amtrak. There is actually a steam railroad called Tennesse Valley Railroad.

aina_dedoyco: It really is nice. It has its growing pains here-and-there, but I think it's beautiful.

Rob Kemp: Thanks for your comment. You're right that I wasn't very clear.... The train ride we took was just a short, tourist thing, not a commuter line. Sorry for the confusion.

Queen Midas: Thanks for your comment. I have always thought of people searching Yahoo! Trips for places they want to go in the future. It puts a different spin on things to think that people search for info about where they went in the past (and may or may not return to in the future).

Sammies Place: I think you should jump in your car and go!

Mrd: Let me know if you take that trip. I hope to read your travelogue about it!

Alli: Thanks! I haven't really thought about vacations as "fulfilling." It will be fun to think about that for a while.

We have been seriously considering moving to Chattanooga next year. What is your opinon of living there?

Laura B: Thanks for your comment! Alas, I was only visiting there, so I can't really make a solid comment about living there. Keep searching message boards and such, though. Best of luck with your decision!
