I'm confused. It's my understanding that Americans cannot visit Cuba. I have heard that if your stopped a seven to ten thousand dollar fine can be levied against you. Is it now possible to travel there? I would sure like to go but have been hesitant because of the diplomatic problems...J

If you can traval to vietnam where they killed over 50,000 young america men why can't you travel to cuba??? Doesn't make sence does it!!!!

alkyal05 is correct. Americans are welcome in Cuba, but you risk a fine from the American authorities should they find out you've been there. Tip: don't lose your passport while in Cuba!

You can also fly to Cuba via Cancun, Mexico City and Kingston if flying to Canada is inconvenient for you.

fatamorgna1,you need to read the book "Mi Moto Fidel" by Christopher P. Baker. He was an American who sliped over to Cuba from Key West, Florida to write a Travel Guide Book. He spent 3 months there and wrote this fasinating book about his exploits. He took along a new BMW motorcycle and rode 7000 miles while there. Great reading. By the way Customs officials do not stamp Passports so your secret is safe. Been there 4 times and love the freedom and the people.Going back in March 07

Hi all, I am a British Citizen staying near San Diego for a month or so in Nov/Dec. I really want to visit Cuba but dont have much time. How can i fly to Cuba? Can i fly from somewhere in northern Mexico? I love collecting passport stamps and am concerned that the US customs guard wont let me back into the States after a little trip. Can anyone help me out here. Would be very gratefull. Cheers.

You can fly in Cayman Islands(Grand Cayman) and then in Cuba. It is the best way. Flights from C.I. are every day to Cuba and you can buy visa from the airport (GCM).
