NOTE: Arriving in Florence if we go into the main train station in the city: Baggage check is near track 16. There is a "fake" TI office in the station next to McDonalds. The real TI is across the square from the station but expect long lines. Instead, go to the TI 3 blocks N of Duomo (opens 8:30 AM), Via Cavour 1 red; internatinal bookstore across street. From train station, walk SE on Panzani approx 2 blocks to Cerretani; turn left (due East)on Cerretani past the Baptistery on the right, to the Duomo. Turn left (NE) on Via Cavour; TI station on left @ end of block. Accademia is one block SE & 1 block NE of TI.

Internet Train has internet access; open 9:00; branches at train station (Galleria Commerciale) as well as others. Also an easyInternetcafe is just south of Medici-Riccardi Palace, Via Martelli 22, which is 1 block SW of the Accademia.

Bus station is across the street and to the right when exiting the train station. Lines 7, 31 & 32 connect the train station with the Duomo & Piazza San Marco.
