Nice trip... i've stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree and it is probably the best hotel in PCB and it's quite inexpensive as well. Highly recommend.

Beware Cancellation Fees! We booked a vacation at the Holiday Inn Sunspree early 2008. About 5 weeks before the trip we decided to stay somewhere else in Panama City Beach. Holiday Inn charged us for the first night (around $230). They claimed that we had book the room at a "special" discount rate and that the penalty for cancelling was the first nights fee. This may have been on the reservation screen (I can't remember), but it was far from obvious or I would have seen. This seems outrageous! Like they are not going to book that room with 5 weeks notice. I have never stayed at another hotel with such a ridiculous cancellation policy. Well, they may have my $230 bucks, but they will never see another dime from me (our you I hope).
