Talk about this trip (1)
We stayed at the Quinalt Resort. We had an ocean view, but sadly no balcony. One of the best views while we were there was when a doe came with her twin fawns and spent the evening in the grass between us and the ocean. We walked the beach and, sadly, I noticed trash on the beach. Really needed a trash bin close to the walkway that was the access to the beach. Also noticed that the cars going up and down the beach were killing some of the ocean wildlife (crabs, sanddollars, etc) I was wondering what effect the cars had on compacting the sand and the clams. The last time I was in this area was with my grandmother 46yrs ago. We dug up clams and stayed in a primitive bungalow. But then there weren't any Tsunami warning signs along highway 101 and the back roads.
