My 13 yr. old son and I are traveling to Orlando as our end of school year trip. The schedule is to take Amtrak to Orlando departing on 6/14 and arrive in Orlando 6/16. (Long ride I know). We've always traveled by car, air, or bus and we've decided to give the rail a try before its obsolete. We will return back to MI via Spirit Airline departing Orlando on 6/21. 5 nights should be enough time in Orlando since we are frequent travelers to FL. However, this will be the first time we're visiting FL in the summer so I'm trying to mentally brace myself for the hot and humid weather.

I'm visiting my daughter in Orlando. I don't like hot weather so I'm thinking Oct. Nov. or Dec. I hope to see as much as possible during that time and hope the weather is cooler.
