I Spent 3 months in Boring Green. I was working at the mall building a store. If your looking for serenity, clean air, and friendly people Bowling Green's your place. The corvette museum and factory are absolutley worth checking out. The old historic downtown is where all the nicest, and best restaurants, and bars are. They are located close to the college, but don't make the mistake thinking rowdy college kids are abroad, not true. This town is historic and they keep it that way for a reason.Bowling Green has many things to do if you like the outdoors also. A good descently priced place to stay is either Homewood Suites not bad for 65 dollars, or Baymont Inn, those were nice too.
I have lived in "Boring Green" all my life except for the 4 months I was at an extended stay hotel near Nashville. While it may be a great place for some to visit, I would not waste my time looking for a job here due to the fact that Bowling Green is a college town and there is a lot of favoritism as it relates to WKU. Our local newspaper shows its bias & favoritism of WKU on page 1 nearly every day. Unless one wants to flip burgers, work retail or temp in factories and warehouses, there is no future here. I have been trying to return to bookkeeping field being I am working toward certification, but nobody in this town seems to care about supporting me in my endeavor nor give me experience because of my age or I am not an accounting major at WKU. Bowling Green also has an ordinance that requires pre-paying for gas which is probably not a bad idea anymore with prices the way they are. Unless you want to work the rest of your life at low paying dead end jobs, don't think about moving here. When my lease runs out, I will definitely leave this "loser" town.
You have no respect maybe your the LOSER! Maybe you should look into the Alumni. Give up. You leave a bad taste for our future GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM YOU TRANSIT
