We are just back from BiH (Sept, 2007). Visited Mostar and Sarajevo after 10 days in Croatia (Split and Dubrovnik). BiH is coming back but slowly. There are still buildings that were blasted to bits in both cities that need to be torn down. People are friendly and English communications were easy. Not many visitors this time of year. We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Sarajevo. It is very acceptable and has a good restaurant. Bus travel works best but can be crowded. Trains time is longer. Hope this helps. Oh, if you have a choice....stay longer in Croatia and pass on BiH at this time in their history. BiH is still in recovery but safe!! Word is to stay away from Serbia. Write if any questions.
