What is the best way to get to Pyatigorsk, Russia ? Do you fly into Moscow and take a train to Pyatigorsk? Can someone give me details on how to plan for this trip...Thankyou for your help!
My family and I usually fly from NY-JFK, DC-Dulles or ATL-Hartsfield non-stop to Moscow. If our flight arrives early enough we schedule a taxi (through Way-To-Russia Online Services) to meet us upon arrival at Sheremetyevo-SVO2 and go directly to Vnukovo-VKO to catch the late afternoon flight to MineralNye Vody-MRV (Airport serving Pyatigorsk). If inbound flight to Moscow will arrive late you won't be able to get to MRV the same day. When that happens we arrange an overnight stay at Holiday Inn Vinogradovo which has shuttle bus service (call ahead to arrange) and take shuttle bus next day to Sheremetyevo-SVO1 for first flight out to MRV, either AEROFLOT or KavMinVodyavia(KMV). Then take scheduled taxi service to Pyatigorsk which has Intourist Hotel or several local hostels etc that can be prearranged for you through a reputable travel agent. Many of them can be found online either located in NY/USA or Moscow/RU. Do the same way coming back from Pyatigorsk. We personally have used Way-To-Russia for most all our arrangements in Russia and it always went smoothly for us. They provided comprehensive service from start to finish for ALL of our travel needs in Russia and will certainly use them again.
