We took a bus there and ended up at beach that was well empty, but very nice. It was a hot day and no shade, so I went exploring. About 1/2 mile up the coast was more activity and had restaurants as well as umbrellas.

Avoid Picassos -youll see it peoplke are always queing up to get in- we thought we would try it this time bur it was nothing at all special
You can walk on the front between Marbella and Puerto banus- really good stopping off point is Victors Beach Bar, always busy fish restaurant over looking sea, the walk will take aobut 1hr 15 mins
