Ottawa

Went here with Gary. We had a nice lunch--both of us had the Chicken Parmesian. It was a nice meal with good company. Our waitress Carley was also great. One of the Ottawa trainers recommended this to us and I have to say he has great taste.

Even the Texans with us agreed that this was a very good taste of real Texan cuisine. The ambience is filled with country and other music evoking the US south. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with salad that was ok. If you ask for ice tea, you'll get something out of a packet, but if you're not a purist, you'll get a kick out of this restaurant.

This restaurant opens until about 2 or 3 p.m. serving crepes and other common breakfast and lunch items. I can't really remember what I had for lunch, but since we were treated by Mercedes, I guess I don't really have to :) I do remember that it was good. I had the balsamic vinegar dressing for my salad and had a cream of mushroom soup, but can't remember the main course (weird, uh?)

Went with Gary and Bobbi to this restaurant at Gary's suggestion.

I had the New York sandwich. I ordered it well done but got it medium rare. I didn't bother to send it back and ate it anyway. I asked for italian dressing for my salad and got creamy Italian dressing, when I was hoping for a vinagrette type dressing. Guess I'll just have to ask for vinegar and pepper the next time. The service here was very friendly and the ambience was enjoyable.

I had a great time here. This place was suggested by Rick, one of the local trainers. I ate the Fetuccini Alfredo with shrimps--yummy!!. It came with a side of salad that was more like a complete meal. I got the balsamic vinegar dressing which was nice but a bit too dark for me. We were surprised to learn that their dessert menu was on a ViewMaster wheel--a great marketing gimmick.
