Hi there! I am contemplating on going to Jakarta for 3 nights on February. Can anyone recommend tourist sights to visit during my very brief stay there? Or would it be wiser to go to Bali instead? Is there a cheap way to get there and that I could arrange in Jakarta? Thanks.
Hi there... I've booked my tickets to Jakarta for a 4 days trip in end Aug - early Sep. Me (single mom) and my kid (less than 2 years old) are meeting a former colleague there during our visit. Any idea where else we can visit? How's the Sea World and Fantasy World there? Worth the visit? Shopping is a must, heard that they have variety of kids' clothes. ;-) Share with me your thots, k? ;-) - Shazz
Hi Guys. I went on a 5 days 4 nights trip. to tell u the truth didnt go to most of the interseting places. the only visiting place we went was the pelabuhan sunda kelapa. nothing much to see but nice to take pictures or if you dare climb up the boats. the ancol world i heard is a good to go. need one whole day if you want to tryout all. We managed only the atlantis world. it was fun. Basically my trip was focused on shopping. didnt intend to but it happened. also took one day to go to Bandung. A 1-2 hours trip - cant remember. And yes thers a lot of kids clothes at the factory outlets! DOnt think can compare Bali to Jakarta. Bali is more of a relax place u can go about doing nothing and still have fun FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY plus thers a lot of places you can visit in Bali and the tourist guide/car is much much more cheaper in Bali. ive got one that i can personally recommend. let me know if you guys need more input. I went to Jakarta May last year so cant remember much :P. Will try to post pictures.
Hi Guys. Just remembered. Near Sparks Hotel to the left about 5-10minits walk, theres a cool hair salon shop..its called kedai senget or seomthing becauses it is tilted when seen from outside. You pay for a hairwash but you get so much in return including a neck and shoulder massage.helps after long shopping walks. after that you can straight away eat at kedai sederhana.they actually have a few outlets here and there. offers nasi padang. good food and cheap!! ill post the nasi padang pic.
I'll be visiting jakarta again with my family in 2 weeks time and will be staying in Ascot. i stayed in grand hyatt on my last visit. any idea about Ascot ?. can someone please advise on some cosy and good restaurants in jakarta
Regards,
Mr Amin
