Going to Bandung with wife and 3 year old son.. wife wants to shop... where to go? can anyone direct me to a site which tells more about 3 or 4 day trip to this place?

I've just visited Bandung last February 2007. The city was fine but a little crowded. However, the SHOPPING is great. Best place I would recommend are Rumah Mode, Dago, Cascade. Hungry? Head for Sari Sunda Restaurant....mmmmm yummy fantastic Sundanese food. Delicious and fairly cheap. Best of all, no worries on halal food. Almost everywhere

you wanna visit bandung at its best? dont go @ weekend. its too crowded, full of Jakartans. if you wanna shop for fashion. its everywhere. jalan riau, jalan dago, cihampelas,etc.. you hungry? what do you want to eat? its all there.. you want it cheap? you got it, you want it cozy with hill/mountain view? all in Bandung..

you can even make an ecological birdwatching tour in south or north of Bandung. golf? theres 1 place in dago and another east of bandung called BBG (bandung giri gahana)

yup a bandung map will help a lot. but to help is a local guide who has familiar with bandung's food and traffic that will help a lot for sure.
carefull if you call for taxi, most of the dont use the argometer, ask first or negotiate first. the average farthest distance in town is Rp 50.000 (that's U$6). but there's a Bluebird taxi with argometer, you can call them.
