We will be arriving in Phoenix Saturday morning. I am looking for suggestions for what we should do on Saturday. Sunday we plan to head to the Grand Canyon. If anyone has suggestions through out the week we are open.
I would suggest visiting the "Kierland" shops and restaurants; fun area with lots of variety. Also, be sure to view a sunset from the outside deck of the Four Seasons Hotel, high above Scottsdale - stunning view!
We just spent a day at the Phoenix Zoo, and it far exceeded our expectations. It's the first zoo we've been to where you can rent a family-size bike! My favorite spot was the Enchanted Forest - it has a treehouse for the little ones, but Moms can appreciate it too. For $3.00, the train ride is a great value. Your driver is also a tour guide who will give you a great overview of the whole zoo.
FIDDLESTICKS BUYER BEWARE! In June of 2007, our entire family from Boulder, Colorado paid for a full day of activities at Fiddlesticks in Scottsdale, AZ, and after we paid were informed that everything was broken (miniature golf, bumper boats AND laser tag). When we asked for a refund, we were denied and were pushed, shoved, and attempted to be forcibly removed from the premises by a Mr. Marquis. Thankfully we put it on a credit card so we could dispute it, but only go there if you want to RUIN your entire vacation to Scottsdale...what a nightmare. This is a true story...
